was born in London, where she continues to live, and has worked in film and television as a director's assistant. In 2022, she published her first novel, I'm a Fan, one of the great revelations of new fiction in Great Britain, winner of the British Book Award 2023 in the 'new discovery' category and nominated for the Dylan Thomas Prize and the Women's Prize for Fiction. She was also selected as one of the top ten debut novelists by The Observer. She is part of the poetry collective 4 BROWN GIRLS WHO WRITE, which has published a collection of pamphlets (Rough Trade Books) and another of homonymous poems (FEM Press).
